About

Karyn Hascal, BA, CADC, CCS  has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. Her experience as a non-profit leader has given her the opportunity to complete projects in philanthropy, program, organizational and leadership development.  In the public sector, she was able to provide the creation and oversight of programs for the prevention, treatment and enforcement of addiction efforts in Kentucky.  Karyn has mentored and coached countless emerging leaders in the industry.

One of her passions is motivation speaking.   She has had opportunities to present at conferences all across the county, sharing her motivation to overcome obstacles regardless of their size or nature.   Karyn has inspired leaders in all areas to face challenges and find solutions in their professional and personal lives.

Karyn led the Commonwealth of Kentucky in credentialing efforts for alcohol and drug professionals and currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Alcohol and Drug Counselor’s Board.  She also serves on the Louisville Metro Board of Health and the KY Physician’s Health Foundation Board.  She led advocacy efforts in Kentucky for addicts and their families in the founding of People Advocating Recovery, a statewide movement giving voice to those who are recovering from substance use disorder and their families.
